For a stronger cardamon flavour crush a whole cardamon pod with the back of a spoon and add it to your teapot, strainer or disposable teabag.
For best results, add the crushed cardamon pods to a pot with cold water and bring to boil on the stove. Remove from heat and add the tea and allow to steep for 5 mins.
Traditionally, Persian tea is served black in a special persian / turkish tea glass with a sugar cube on the side. We also love it with milk and sugar, chai style. It really make the flavours sing and adds a creamy note to the tea. We love to use Panela Sugar for its molasses / caramel flavour notes, it's also the least processed sugar being evaporated sugar cane juice.
